The first 6 Red Snooker World Championship, created by Ken Doherty, with seemingly 13 of the world's top 16 players arriving in Killarney for the four-day event, is running from December 15 to 18, right here in Ireland.
Competition details. Eurosport are covering it on the last 2 days, Thursday and Friday.

I've been surprised to get no off line interest at all in going to Killarney tomorrow...Paul, Tony, McDaid, McGrath?
For the round robin group stage over Tuesday and Wednesday, the 130 players were split into 23 groups, comprising 260 matches on 13 tables with 1hr 15min allotted per match.

Alex Higgins didn't make it to the last 64, the matches are all best of 9 frames.
